Clare, aged 97, still isn't ready to retire. In 1939, she went to Poland for the Daily Telegraph and at the age of 27, was the first to report the rows of tanks on the German border, signalling the start of the second world war. She has since reported from war zones the world over and penned several books, including her most recent, Captain if Captured, co-written with Neri Tenorio. She's happy to share her war stories from the safety of the FCC bunker.
